Sizing Guide
Clairity Standard
Clairity Standard filters are typical pleated filters that fit most home HVAC systems. Here's how to get the perfect size:
1. Remove Your Current Filter
Carefully pull out the filter currently in your HVAC system or air return grille.
Tip: Turn off your system before removing the filter to avoid airflow suction.
2. Check the Size on the Frame
Most filters have the size printed on the outer frame in inches (e.g., 16x25x1). This is the nominal size.
3. Measure to Confirm
If the size is unreadable or not indicated, measure the width x height x depth with a tape measure.
What to Measure:
Width: Left to right
Height: Top to bottom
Depth: Thickness of the filter
Your true filter size will usually be 1/2" smaller than the order size. Round each dimension to the nearest whole inch.
Clairity HealthGuard
Clairity HealthGuard utilizes a reusable steel frame and/or steel wire as well as replaceable media. To find your HealthGuard size, choose one of two methods below:
Type 1: Return grilles in your ceiling or wall
Many home utilize return grilles in the ceiling or wall, taking air in from the surrounding room and passing it through a filter, located behind the grille.
To find your HealthGuard filter size, measure the dimensions of the opening. You can also check the size of your previous standard pleated filter.
This method ONLY requires you to order a wire frame and media pad, as the duct opening already acts as a frame.
Type 2: furnace/air handler slot
Some homes have a unit filter slot located near the furnace or air handler, often in the attic or garage.
This type of setup requires you to purchase the frame AND wire with your HealthGuard subscription. To find the correct size, you can measure the dimensions of the slot or measure the size of your previous pleated filter.
